Remembrance Day Activities
            We are participating in two parades, Saturday, 7 November in Tecumseh and 8 November in Belle River. We are also supporting our Legion by participating in their Poppy Campaign. The Parade on Saturday, 7 November is from our Legion, We will meet at 10:30 am.in full Uniform, including parka and black gloves. The Legion will provide a light lunch following the Parade. Volunteers will be required following the Parade to assist in the Poppy Campaign, Volunteers will also be required on Sunday, and more details will be available in the next two weeks.
The Belle River Parade is at 13:15 hrs starting at the Legion, Branch 399, 504 Notre Dame St Belle River. (Cadets must get a ride to and from Belle River). The Parade will last about an hour and half and a Reception at the Legion will be held after the Parade. Everyone is welcome including Parents. The Legion will provide a light luncheon for all Cadets and Family members who attend the Parade.

Weekend Camps
            Weekend camps are scheduled throughout the training year. A permission form will go home with each Cadet and must be completed, signed and returned. This way we know who is attending and can plan accordingly. A kit list has been sent home and is used as a guide. We ask that each Cadet bring a sleeping bag and proper foot wear to each camp. All other equipment and supplies will be provide including rations (food). Cadet use Meal Ready to Eat (MREs) which are prepared food  in a sealed waterproof bag that are heated in boiling water. There are many different menus. Should your child have an allergy please ensure we are aware of it. Fresh food is also provided, usually Sunday breakfast. More information on MREs is available at:

Parents’ Committee
            Our Parents’ Committee meets on the last Thursday of the month and is the fund raising arm of our Corps. They are looking for new members to assist in all their activities as well as participate as members of the Executive. Next meeting is schedule for Thursday, 29 Oct at 6:30 pm at the Tecumseh Legion. A newsletter is sent home and is available on our web site. The following will be discussed at the next meeting: Tag Day, Cheque Request Procedures, Stuff the Bus, Parents' Open House at the Cadet Corps, Finacial Reports, Elections, T-Shirts and Upcoming Legion Events.

Physical Fitness Training
            Part of the goal of Cadets is to promote physical fitness. We are starting a new program where we will bring in guests or visit locations that promote physical fitness. These activities will be scheduled on other than our training nights. Check the web site for more details under Training starting in November.
