Sunday, 15 April 2012 – Earth Day Activity - Black Oak Park

Volunteer clean up will take place from 0900hrs to 1200hrs.  Lunch will be provided and Cadets are required to bring their own refillable water bottles for drinks.  The subject area is the corner of Broadway and Sandwich (West Windsor) entering into the Black Oak Park area. Parents must drop off and pickup Cadets at this location. Dress for the day is civilian clothes – Corps t-shirts should be worn. Cadets requiring Community Service hours should bring their forms. Permission form required.

Friday-Saturday, 20-21 April 2012 – Fort Malden – War of 1812 Activity
Overnight Program- Cadets will have the opportunity to explore the exhibits in our world class museum and view the unique objects in the Fort Malden collection that help tell the story of how Canada evolved. The program includes a visit of the archaeological remains and remnants of the forts and a candlelight tour through the ditches and defenses after the sun sets. Cadets will partake in a scavenger hunt of the museum, dress up as British soldiers and learn the drill and maneuvers as the soldiers did in the 1830's, and sleep in our restored original 1819 soldier's barracks. Cadets will experience early 19th century cooking techniques in this hands-on program. Cadets prepare a meal of beef stew, bread and butter in an authentic soldier's cookhouse, then eat the dinner in our restored original barracks. Also included is a tour of the fortifications and Officer's exhibits.  This is activity is for Cadets who have above average attendance at all Cadet activities. Permission form required. We will depart Friday at 3:30 pm and return Saturday by noon at the Legion. Dress is civilian clothes. Permission form required.

Civilian clothes, 6:00 to 7:30 pm.

Tuesday, 8 May 2012 – Physical Fitness Testing – Legion

Weekend, 25-27 May 2012 – Adventure Training – Peacekeeper Park
We will leave Friday at 1800 and return Sunday for 1500 hrs. Cadets are required to bring a sleeping bag and have suitable clothing/footwear for canoeing, abseiling and hiking. We will be using Tents and will be eating MRE’s. Permission forms must be completed and OHIP cards will be carried. Any Cadet require to take medication over the weekend will turn it in at the beginning of camp.

Sunday, 10 June 2012 – Annual Review Parade
Cadets will participate in the Corps Annual Parade with Parents and Relatives invited to attend. A formal Invitation will be sent home in the near future. Parents are asked to contribute to the reception after the Parade by providing a dessert/baked good to our Group Committee.
