June 2009 Events

23 May – Windsor Tattoo and Sunset Ceremony: Windsor Riverfront (in front of Ceasars Casino) –displays from 1300 hrs, parade @ 1900 hrs-Free
Branch 261 Open House-1200 to 1600 hrs- Cadet Display.

14 June – Annual Final Parade: Cadets will arrive at 10:30 am in short-sleeve order and carry their jacket and tie. The Corps will practice the Parade and lunch will be provided. The Parade will start at 2:00 pm with a small Reception to follow. Parents are asked to contribute to the Reception (see handout from Parents’ Committee-attached).

16 June-Tuesday – Camp Information Night: All Cadets attending Summer Camp and their Parent or Guardian are to attend a meeting with the CO and DCO to go over the details of summer camp and its’ requirement. This is must meeting.

20 June – Sunday: Windsor Regiment Change of Command- Col Tilston VC Armouries

23 June – Tuesday – Year End Party @ XS Family Centre (Ambassador Drive, Windsor): We will meet at the Centre at 6:30 pm in civilian clothing and stay until 8:00 pm. The Corps will provide for two events.

27/28 June – End Camp-Wheatley Provincial Park: We will depart from the Legion at 10:30 am, Saturday and drive to Wheatley-Parent Drivers are required. This is an over-night camp in which the Cadets plan the activities. Bicycles may be brought (a trailer will be provided), fishing gear (bait supplied) and swimming suits (weather permitting). Cadets must bring all camping required gear (ie sleeping bag), the Corps will provide all the food and tents. We will depart Wheatley at 2:00 pm, Sunday and drive to the Legion-Parent Drivers required. Parents who are able to drive please indicate on the permission forms. This camp is for all Cadets who attend the Annual Parade-14 June.

15 September – Tuesday – CO’s Parade: First training night, full Uniform.

 Check the Corps website throughout the Summer for changes and additions to the new training year.
